Hey guys quick update: This week has been really busy and I won’t have time to write a Raw or Smackdown rewind. I leave for ATL in a few days and I’ll start posting after I’m back. Thanks!

Smackdown Rewind – 3/25/2011

Posted by Ray under Smackdown Rewind (No Respond)

Hey guys, sorry this is a few days late. I’ve been really busy this weekend, and this is going to be a short review because I’m tired as hell. Nonetheless, on with the Smackdown Rewind!

Smackdown began with Edge and Teddy Long backstage. Edge is pissed after what Del Rio did to him last week and he’s furious that Long has declared that if either Del Rio or Edge lay one hand on each other, they’ll both be banned from Wrestlemania. This could make things really interesting heading into the big event, or really boring. It’s all up to how it’s booked. I’m interested to see how it’ll play out.

Raw Rewind – 3/21/2011

Hey everyone and welcome to the Raw Rewind! Let me start off by saying that this show was… Rawful. (crickets)

I know that I stated that I’d be more positive than most but this show did almost nothing for me in terms of hyping up Wrestlemania. I tend to set the bar higher for every Raw between Elimination Chamber and Wrestlemania, and I understand that’s my problem. Nonetheless, let’s talk Raw!

The show opened with JR’s music playing and of course it was Michael Cole dressed in a fat suit. Good cheap way to get some more heat. The crowd in Pittsburgh seemed to be hot all night. Kudos. Cole taunts Lawler some, who then gets up and forces Cole to run into the “Cole Mine”. Read More…

Smackdown Rewind – 03/18/2011

Welcome to the first edition of Smackdown Rewind, this is Ray and let’s get started.

Smackdown opens with pyro as Josh Matthews and Booker T hype up Big Show and Kane facing the Gabriel and Slater later. I guess Christian and Edge aren’t wrestling for the Tag Team Championships as advertised? Meh, no big deal. I could care less about this feud to be honest. The Corre’s angle with Big Show/Kane over the past few weeks just hasn’t grabbed my attention. Michael Cole comes out to the Raw theme to massive heat. He gets into his “Cole Mine” as Booker T gives him one of the best dirty looks in recent WWE history.

Welcome to The Wrestling Rewind/About Me

Posted by Ray under Other (No Respond)

Hey everyone. My name’s Ray and I’m glad you’ve stopped by to check out my blog. I’ve been a fan of wrestling my entire life (all 24 years of it). I’ve read numerous wrestling blogs and articles and thought I’d start up my own site. It’s something that I’ve been wanting to do for a long time and the time has finally come. Here you’ll find my comments on happenings around the world of wrestling, as well as reviews of WWE Raw, WWE Smackdown, and WWE Pay-Per-Views. I’ve unfortunately (depending on how you look at it) never really gotten into TNA all that much.  You won’t find me complaining compared to most, as I tend to focus more on the positives than most. Each match will be rated out of 5, and each show out of 10. Simple stuff, no?

If there’s anyone out there that would like to review iMPACT or NXT, don’t hesitate to shoot me an e-mail at ray@thewrestlingrewind.com. I’m looking forward to writing and hearing everyone’s feedback.
